Casa, dolce casa. E’inutile girarci intorno, puoi anche viaggiare per il mondo, ma il sapore e i colori della tua terra non hanno eguali.
Lo scorso luglio avevo scelto di presentare ad amici e parenti siciliani il mio “Amiamoci, nonostanteTutto”, mettendo in scena, credo, una bella #FestaDellAmore.
Ciò nonostante, si sa, il primo amore, non si scorda mai. Così quando Laura Rapicavoli, il giorno dopo, mi ha prospettato l’opportunità di presentare #EssereMelvin a Catania il mio egocentrismo è stato più veloce della mia parte razionale nel rispondere positivamente all’invito.
Melvin e la Sicilia sono stati per lungo tempo due amori, divenuti pesi terribili, da portare nel cuore e sulle spalle.
A tre anni dalla mia scelta di tornare in campo, e di condividere la mia storia con tutti voi, sentivo e vedevo che c’era un pezzo mancante nel mio bel puzzle.
Il pezzo mancante l’ho trovato ieri pomeriggio, partecipando, grazie all’associazione culturale “Anteas,” alla bella manifestazione “OltreLeParole”.
Un’opportunità di farmi conoscere raccontando a un caloroso e appassionato pubblico la mia vita e, soprattutto, mostrando la mia anima e i miei sentimenti.
Mi hanno accompagnato in questo viaggio :la cortese e professionale Cristina Torrisi, valente giornalista oltre che direttore della rivista “Nuove edizioni Boeheim”, e l’amica e talentuosa attrice Laura Rapicavoli.
Due belle donne che mi hanno sostenuto con garbo ed eleganza nello spiegare cosa abbia significato “Essere Melvin” .
E, quando le parole non sono state sufficienti, ecco giungere puntuali gli interventi della meravigliosa e toccante musica suonata dal violino dell’intenso Serghei Pascov.
Non voglio essere di parte, ma è stato davvero bello “sentire” il pubblico e come si sia creato un ponte emotivo e intellettivo con i presenti.
Ringrazio Pina Rapicavoli per essere stata una perfetta ed elegante “padrona di casa” e i dirigenti dell’Anteas per la splendida ospitalità.
Ho sentito il calore e l’affetto della mia città e ascoltare le parole del pubblico” siamo tutti un po’ Melvin”mi hanno davvero toccato.
Non credo di essere un uomo coraggioso, ma sentirselo dire, fa sempre piacere.
Sono tornato a casa, e mai come ieri, ho pensato: Il Tempo è Galantuomo.

Last July I decided to show to friends and family Sicilians my “Let us love, nonostantetutto”, staging, I think, a pretty #FestaDellAmore.
Nevertheless, you know, first love, you never forget. So when Laura Rapicavoli, the next day, I considered the opportunity to present #EssereMelvin Catania my ego was faster than my rational to respond positively to the invitation.
Melvin and Sicily have long been two loves have become terrible weights, to bring the heart and shoulders.
Three years after my decision to return to the field, and to share my story with all of you, I felt and saw that there was a missing piece in my beautiful puzzle.
The missing piece I found yesterday afternoon by participating, thanks to the cultural association “Anteas,” the great event “oltreleparole”.
An opportunity to make known to me telling a warm and passionate public my life and, above all, showing my soul and my feelings.
I have accompanied me on this journey: the courteous and professional Cristina Torrisi, a talented journalist as well as editor of the magazine “New editions Boeheim”, and her friend and talented actress Laura Rapicavoli.
Two beautiful women who supported me with grace and elegance in explaining what it meant “Be Melvin”.
And when the words were not enough, there came punctual interventions of the beautiful and touching music played by the violin intense Serghei Pascov.
It will not be biased, but it was really nice “feel” the public and how it created an emotional and intellectual bridge with the present.
Thank Pina Rapicavoli for being a perfect and elegant “hostess” and managers dell’Anteas for the wonderful hospitality.
I felt the warmth and affection of my city and listen to the words of the audience “we are all a bit ‘Melvin” I was really touched.
I do not think of being a brave man, but to hear it, it’s always nice.
I got home, and never like yesterday, I thought: Time Is Gentleman.
