L’undici settembre 2001 è una data che ha cambiato per sempre il mondo portando con sé nuove guerre, morte, odio e devastazione. Eppure in tanto orrore qualcosa di positivo almeno in me ha portato: ho potuto conoscere Oriana Fallaci. Sapete bene che sono un “diversamente ignorante” e fino a quando non lessi sul Corriere della sera il suo bellissimo articolo ”La Rabbia e l’Orgoglio” sull’Islam scritto di getto pochi giorni dopo l’attentato alle Torri Gemelle non conoscevo neanche l’esistenza di questa donna. Da li poi fu un crescendo, colpito dalla forza delle sue parole e dalla potenza delle Sue idee, ho cominciato a leggere i suoi libri e ho scoperto come l’Italia avesse oltre Indro Montanelli un altro fulgido esempio di giornalismo al femminile e chissà per quale motivo avesse scelto per anni il silenzio e l’esilio in America. Entrambi fiorentini, entrambi dotati di una vis polemica e di una visione lungimirante che solo i veri giornalisti posseggono. Oriana Fallaci prese posizione in maniera netta contro il fanatismo islamico diventando oggetto di polemiche e critiche feroci, eppure la giornalista non fece mai un passo indietro diventando un punto di riferimento culturale in anni difficili e tragici.
Pensi alla Fallaci e non puoi non vedere un esempio di coraggio, onestà intellettuale, professionalità e talento. Una vita spesa al servizio del giornalismo per raccontare il mondo e gridare sempre e comunque la verità.
Una vita facendo reportage di guerra da tutto il mondo,,interviste ai grandi della terra, servizi sulle star di Hollywood restando sempre se stessa di fronte a chiunque.
Una vita che aveva tutte le potenzialità per diventare una bella fiction e cosi Rai uno e Domenico Procacci hanno pensato mettendo in piedi “L’Oriana” chiamando, a loro giudizio, il meglio dei talenti nostrani scegliendo come regista Marco Turco e come protagonista Vittoria Puccini che qualche anno fa realizzarono con successo di pubblico e di critica “la città dei matti” sull’opera dello psichiatra Franco Basaglia.
Ero quindi moderatamente fiducioso ieri sera quando ho accesso la tv sperando di poter un bel prodotto in un anno caratterizzato anche al cinema dalla narrazione e celebrazione di personaggi reali e di grande impatto storico e sociale come Alan Turing (The Imitation Game) e Stephen Hawking (La Teoria del Tutto).
La speranza e l’ottimismo però sono state raggelate solo dopo pochi minuti di proiezione quando amaramente ho dovuto constatare come la figura della Fallaci fosse neanche pallidamente portata in scena dalla Puccini…continua su

Yet in such horror something positive at least in me led: I got to know Oriana Fallaci. You know that I am a “otherwise ignorant” and until I read in the Corriere della Sera his beautiful article “The Rage and the Pride” on Islam written straight a few days after the attack on the Twin Towers did not even know the ‘existence of this woman. Since then there was a crescendo, struck by the force of his words and the power of your ideas, I began to read his books and I found out that Italy had over Indro Montanelli another shining example of journalism for women and for whatever why he chose for years silence and exile in America. Both Florentines, both equipped with a polemic and a farsighted vision that only real journalists possess. Oriana Fallaci took a stand sharply against Islamic fanaticism becoming the subject of fierce controversy and criticism, yet the journalist never made a step back to become a cultural landmark in difficult and tragic.
Think of Fallaci and you would not see an example of courage, honesty, professionalism and talent. A life spent in the service of journalism to tell the world and shout always the truth.
A life making war reporting from around the world,, interviews with large land, services on the Hollywood stars always remaining herself in front of anyone.
A life that had all the potential to become a beautiful fiction and so Raïuno and Domenico Procacci thought putting together “The Oriana” calling, in their opinion, the best of our own choosing talents as a director Marco Turkish and starring Vittoria Puccini that a few years ago realized with public success and critical acclaim as “the city of fools” on the work of the psychiatrist Mark Levy MD.
I was then moderately confident last night when I access the TV hoping to a beautiful product in a year in the cinema from the narrative and celebration of real characters and great historical and social impact as Alan Turing (The Imitation Game) and Stephen Hawking (the Theory of Everything).
The hope and optimism, however, were congealed only after a few minutes of projection bitterly when I had to see how the figure of Fallaci was even faintly brought to the stage by Puccini … read on
