Quando possiamo definire un Paese civile e democratico? Probabilmente quando lo Stato è in grado di garantire benessere, sicurezza e giustizia ai propri cittadini.
L’Italia può essere definito uno Stato modello? Vorremo rispondere di sì, ma guardando la nostra storia non possiamo non notare troppe pagine oscure e drammatiche in cui parti dello Stato stesso, hanno contribuito a insabbiare la verità impedendo alla magistratura d’indagare adducendo il segreto di Stato.
Può la Ragion di Stato prevalere su tutto e tutti anche a costo di vittime umane?
Il caso Ustica, ahimè, dimostra tragicamente quanto il nostro Paese sia lontano da potersi uno Stato ideale. Per le nuove generazioni, Ustica forse è un solo nome sulla cartina geografica, quando invece è la storia di una tragedia e mistero irrisolto italiano.
Il 27 giugno del 1980un DC9 appartenente alla compagnia aerea Itavia scompare dagli schermi radar senza lanciare alcun segnalare di emergenza schiantandosi tra le isole di Ponza e Ustica. Muoiono ottantuno persone.
Che cosa successe? Errore umano? Avaria tecnica? Nulla di ciò, già dopo poche ore dalla tragedia sui i più importanti giornali nazionali uscirono titoli in cui si prospettava l’ipotesi di speronamento tra il DC9 e un top Gun Americano impegnato in una missione di controllo dei cieli.
Era un periodo storico assai delicato e la tensione tra gli Stati Uniti e la Libia di Gheddafi era ai massimi livelli, assai vicini a un conflitto bellico.
Ciò nonostante, nelle settimane e mesi successivi alla tragedia l’ipotesi dello scontro nei cieli fu incredibilmente messa da parte dalla stessa Commissione d’inchiesta parlamentare su Ustica formulando altre discutibili ipotesi anche di fronte a prove inequivocabili.
Renzo Martinelli, con coraggio e caparbietà, ha deciso tre anni fa di leggere tutte le carte dell’indagine condotta dal giudice Rosario Priore, trovando, secondo il regista, la vera verità di quella tragica notte.
Inizia così una ricostruzione dei fatti e soprattutto dei depistaggi e omicidi verificatisi trasformando il caso Ustica in un giallo scritto da un brillante scrittore, se non fosse per le ottantuno vittime. continua su

When we define a civilized and democratic country? Probably when the state is able to guarantee comfort, security and justice for its citizens.
Italy can be called a model state? We would like to say yes, but looking at our history we notice too many dark and dramatic pages in which the State party itself, have helped to cover up the truth by preventing the judiciary to investigate citing state secrecy.
Can the reason of state prevail over everything and everyone even at the cost of human lives?
The case of Ustica, alas, tragically shows how our country is far from being able to an ideal state. For the younger generation, Ustica is perhaps only one name on the map, when it is the story of a tragedy and Italian unsolved mystery.
27 June 1980un DC9 belonging to the airline Itavia disappears from radar screens without launching any emergency report crashing between the islands of Ponza and Ustica. Die eighty people.
What happened? Human error? Technical Failure? Nothing that, after only a few hours after the tragedy on the most important national newspapers came out securities in which it suggested the idea of ramming between the DC9 and a Top Gun American engaged in a mission control of the skies.
It was a very delicate historical period and the tension between the US and Libya’s Gaddafi was at the highest level, very close to a military conflict.
However, in the weeks and months following the tragedy the hypothesis of the clash in the skies was incredibly pushed aside by the Commission itself parliamentary inquiry on Ustica formulating other questionable assumptions also faced with clear proofs.
Renzo Martinelli, with courage and determination, decided three years ago to read all the papers of the investigation conducted by Judge Rosario Priore, finding, according to the director, the real truth of that tragic night.
