Dopo l’undici settembre le nostre vite sono cambiate. Abbiamo più paura e la soglia di attenzione e sicurezza sono aumentate.E’ iniziata una guerra silenziosa tra chi è predisposto a evitare nuovi e tragici attentati e chi invece indegnamente nome di Dio o di chi volete compie atrocità.
L’America e gli americani sono in prima linea in questa guerra al terrorismo e spesso ne pagano un alto e drammatico contributo di sangue.Gli uomini e le donne addestrate alla sicurezza ogni giorno con bravura, intuito e stress sventano possibili pericoli e arrestano potenziali terroristi in luoghi pubblici e strategici. Vite vissute nell’ombra alservizio della pace come nel caso di Kate Abbot(jovovich) protagonista della nostra storia, brava e bella responsabile americana ai visti per presso l’ambasciata Usa in inghilterra.Kate è tenace e scrupolosa nel suo lavoro e non lascia nulla al caso . Così facendo rimane coinvolta in un intrigato e misterioso caso di terrorismo che parte dalla lontana afghanistan.
Kate diventa uno ostacolo da eliminare affinché l’attentato da realizzare in america a capodanno si realizzi.Cosi viene deciso la sua eliminazione per mano del pericoloso e spietato killer “L’orologiao”(Brosnan).La donna con fortuna e abilità sopravvive a diversi tentativi di uccisione fuggendo tra le vie di Londra inseguita dalla stessa polizia perché ritenuta ingiustamente una spia.
Un film molto adrenalinico, forte, senza pause che ben si pone tra una spy story e action movie.Se i dialoghi sono ridotti all’osso e lo stesso intreccio narrativo risulta forse prevedibile e scontata comunque l’autore ha il pregio di esaltare appieno la parte dinamica della storia, tenendo sempre alta la marcia del ritmo e mantenendo costante pathos narrativo. Milla Jovovich convince per la sua inteterprazione fisica ed essenziale e Pierce Brosnan piace nel suo atipico ruolo di cattivo duro e puro formando così una coppia funzionale alla storia. La regia è pulita, diretta e brava nel tenere il filo del racconto con gran velocità senza mai deragliare. Un finale intenso anche se prevedibile tiene incollato lo spettatore e non può non far ringraziare chi ogni giorno rischia la vita per tenerci al sicuro ed evitare altri 11 settembre.

Milla Jovovich impresses with its physical and essential inteterprazione and Pierce Brosnan like in his unusual role of bad and harsh forming a functional pair in history. The direction is clear, direct and good at keeping the thread of the story with great speed and never derail. A final intense even if foreseeable keeps the viewer glued and can not fail to thank those who every day risk their lives to keep us safe and to avoid another 11 September.
