“Italiani Volta Gabbana” è un libro di Bruno Vespa e pubblicato nel novembre del 2014 da Mondadori.
“Chi non cambia mai idea è un cretino” recita un vecchio detto.
Un tempo si diceva che nella vita si può cambiare anche moglie eccetto che la fede calcistica, sfortunatamente oggi anche questo “dogma” è venuto meno.
Noi italiani siamo volubili, agiamo spesso di pancia e soprattutto per interessi di bottega.
Bruno Vespa non è amato, anzi odiato e dileggiato da molti perché ritenuto ipocrita, falso e servitore del potente di turno, eppure i suoi libri ogni anno vendono tanto e il suo talk show “Porta a Porta”, riconosciuta come “La terza camera della Repubblica”, dal 1996 continua ad essere uno dei programmi dei più seguiti su Rai uno.
Chi è da criticare? Vespa che lavora con professionalità o chi di nascosto lo legge e vede da anni e in pubblico scaglia la pietra senza alcuna vergogna ? Non credo che esista una letteratura di Serie A e una di serie B. Semplicemente esiste buoni libri e libri sciatti e noiosi.
Personalmente non ho problemi ad ammettere che leggo Bruno Vespa ogni anno e che, pur non essendo il mio scrittore preferito, nel complesso il suo stile mi convince e mi piace osservare e riflettere i mutamenti della nostra società dalla prospettiva offerta da un importante cerimoniere che ha attraversato le nostre tre Repubbliche sempre indenne.
Vespa può non piacere, ma è un professionista e come tale ci racconta in questo libro come la coerenza e l’onestà intellettuale non siano proprio i primi segni di riconoscimento e di distinzione del nostro popolo.

People used to say that in life you can even change his wife except that the faith football, unfortunately even today this “dogma” has failed.
We Italians are fickle, often act belly and especially for shop-interest.
Bruno Vespa is not loved, even hated and derided by many because it was considered hypocritical, false and servant of the powers that be, and yet his books sell so much every year and his talk show “Porta a Porta”, recognized as “The third chamber Republic “, from 1996 continues to be one of the most watched programs on Rai Uno.
Who is to criticize? Vespa who works professionally or who secretly reads it and sees in public for years and throws the stone without any shame? I do not think that there is a literature of Series A and Series B. Simply there good books and books sloppy and boring.
Personally I have no problem admitting that I read Bruno Vespa each year and that, while not my favorite writer, overall his style convinces me and I like to observe and reflect the changes in our society from the perspective offered by a major ceremonies which crossed our three republics always harmless.
Vespa may not like it, but it’s a professional and as such tells in this book as the consistency and intellectual honesty are not just the first signs of recognition and distinction of our people.
