“Guardiani della Galassia” è un film del 2014 diretto da James Gunn, prodotto dai Marvel Studios e distribuito dalla Walt Disney Company, scritto da Gunn e Nicole Perlman e vede tra i suoi protagonisti Chris Pratt, Zoë Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close e Benicio del Toro.
E’ possibile unire la fantascienza alla commedia?
I puristi dei rispettivi generi sdegnati e inorriditi risponderebbero di no. Personalmente amo più la commedia, eppure dopo aver visto questo film, mi permetto di dire che è possibile la fusione.
Quest’estate in America e ora in Italia “I Guardiani” stanno sbancando il botteghino.
Considerati nel mondo Marvel forse dei personaggi minori, hanno conquistato sul campo visibilità e successo. Una storia che parte sulla Terra alla fine degli anni ottanta in un stanza di un’ospedale dove il giovane Peter Quill(Pratt) assiste impotente alla morte della madre malata di cancro cercando confronto nell’ascoltare musica dell’epoca con un registratore. Peter viene misteriosamente rapito da una nave aliena e lo spettatore si ritrova anni dopo immerso in una gigantesca caccia al tesoro prima e poi in spettacolare battaglia navale ambientata nell’universo.
E’ anche difficile ricordare tutti i personaggi che appaiono sullo schermo, ognuno con la sua storia e caratteristica, ma tutti legati da un filo rosso. Come in ogni fumetto Marvel ci sono i buoni e cattivi, ma la distinzione spesso è sottile.
Chi sono dunque i Guardiani della Galassia? Eroi? Si, ma molto per caso. Conosciamo in rapida successione oltre Quil alias Star Lord, Gamora(Saldana) la figliastra di Thanos(Brolin) che si ribella a piani di guerra del padre e del suo perfido alleato Ronan, Rockett (Bradley) il “criceto” geneticamente modificato e genio delle fughe dalle prigioni, Groot(Diesel) il gigantesco albero vivente e infine Drax il distruttore(Bautista) desideroso di vendicare la morte della sua famiglia a mano di Ronan. Sono diversi, egoisti, inaffidabili e cinici eppure si ritrovano uniti per salvare la Galassia dalla distruzione a causa di un’ambita e magica sfera, scintilla dell’infinito
La sceneggiatura è ricca di spunti, divertente, piena di continui rimandi, ma caotica nel complesso e spesso la storia rischia di creare confusione nello spettatore. Non si capisce chi sia veramente il cattivo. Si avverte una mancanza di logicità nella struttura narrativa. Il film si muove per immagini e la scenografia è davvero impotente e incanta, ma non può bastare.
I dialoghi sono una sicuramente un punto di forza del film: ironici, frizzanti, divertenti e ben interpretati.
La regia è di valore dirigendo questo parco giochi con mano ferma e talento, riuscendo a creare bene il connubio tra ironia e azione senza mai perdere lo spirito del film.
Azzeccata e riuscita è la colonna sonora anni 80 scandisce i vari momenti della storia regalando un quid emotivo e nostalgico in più al film.
L’intero cast è sicuramente meritevole di un plauso. Ogni personaggio è credibile con la sua diversa personalità e caratteristiche creando simbiosi e sintonia con lo spettatore.
Personalmente do una menzione in più al quasi muto Van Diesel con il suo “Groot”, poche parole dette dal personaggio , ma di grande intensità e peso.
Il finale è forse forzatamente a lieto fine, ma ben costruito e preparato che lascia il pubblico desideroso di vedere nuove avventure dei Guardiani e soprattutto lascia in sospeso tante domande a cui troveremo risposta nel già atteso sequel.

And ‘possible to combine science fiction comedy?
Purists of their respective genres outraged and horrified will say no. Personally I love most comedy, but after seeing this movie, I would say that it is possible merger.
This summer in America and now in Italy “Guardians” are excavated in the box office.
Considered in the Marvel world, perhaps of the minor characters, they won on the field visibility and success. A story that starts on Earth at the end of the eighties in a room of a hospital where the young Peter Quill (Pratt) impotently witnessing the death of his mother dying of cancer in listening to the music of seeking confrontation with a tape recorder. Peter is mysteriously abducted by an alien ship and the viewer finds himself years later immersed in a giant treasure hunt first and then in the spectacular naval battle set in the universe.
It ”s also hard to remember all the characters that appear on the screen, each with its own history and character, but all linked by a common thread. As in any Marvel comic there are good and bad, but the distinction is often subtle.
So who are the Guardians of the Galaxy? Heroes? Yes, but quite by accident. We know in quick succession over Quil aka Star Lord, Gamora (Saldana), the daughter of Thanos (Brolin) who rebels against war plans of his father and his treacherous ally Ronan, Rockett (Bradley) the “hamster” genetically modified and genius jailbreaks, Groot (Diesel), the giant living tree and then Drax the Destroyer (Bautista) eager to avenge the death of his family at the hands of Ronan. They are different, selfish, unreliable and cynical yet join together to save the galaxy from destruction due to a coveted and magical sphere spark of infinity
The script is full of ideas, fun, full of references, but in the complex and often chaotic history is likely to create confusion in the viewer. It is not clear who is really the bad guy. There is a lack of logic in the narrative structure. The film moves through images and the scenery is really helpless and charm, but not enough.
The dialogues are a definitely a strong point of the movie: ironic, sparkling, funny and well played.
The director is directing this value playground with a steady hand and talent, being able to create the right mix of humor and action without losing the spirit of the film.
Apt and successful is the soundtrack of the 80 scans the various moments in history giving a quid more emotional and nostalgic film.
The entire cast is certainly worthy of praise. Each character is believable with his other personality characteristics and creating harmony and symbiosis with the viewer.
I personally do more to mention almost mute Van Diesel with his “Groot”, a few words spoken by character, but of great intensity and weight.
The finish is perhaps necessarily a happy ending, but well built and prepared to leave the audience wanting to see new adventures of the Guardians and above leaves open many questions you will find answered in the sequel already.
