Sono stato solo una volta in vita mia a un concerto. Non ho il senso del ritmo e quando ballo ho l’elasticità di un robot. Accendo la radio le rare volte che faccio tapis roulant e la musica di qualsiasi tipo accompagna il mio lento faticare. L’uomo emette suoni da una vita. Fischia, canticchia, rumoreggia. La nostra vita senza musica è come un film in bianco e nero. I musical non mi fanno impazzire, ma spesso alla fine mi ritrovo a cantare con i protagonisti. La musica come la scrittura può essere catartica e darti l’opportunità di cambiare e d’essere diverso. “Tutto può cambiare” è una ballata sulla vita, sull’amore e su come basta avere un progetto per tornare a essere vivo e magari felice. Carney ci racconta come New York sia la città dei sogni, delle opportunità e anche delle solitudini, ma dove due persone deluse e triste per motivi diversi si possono incontrare in un pub e trovare insieme a forza per ricominciare. Questa è la storia di Dan(Ruffal) produttore musicale in declino e con vita familiare complicata e di Greta(Knightley) giovane donna inglese che ha seguito Dave(Levine) il fidanzato musicista a New York sperando di realizzarsi in amore e come autrice musicale, ma rimanendo delusa da entrambi. Due apparenti “sfigati” uniscono le forze grazie all’amore comune per la musica. Dan è un produttore geniale e bizzarro che decide di realizzare il disco di Greta per le strade di New York mettendo su una band sui generis. Greta è una musicista idealista e soprattutto con il cuore spezzato. Una coppia che si trova e si forza a vicenda riuscendo a tirare fuori il meglio da ognuno. La musica e New York sono i veri protagonisti della storia che invadono lo schermo e coinvolgono lo spettatore. La storia in sé è semplice, delicata anche se già vista in altri contesti. La sceneggiatura e i dialoghi esaltano e delineano la musica come Musa ispiratrice dei protagonisti e scandendo i tempi della storia con un buon ritmo. Convince la coppia Ruffalo-Knightley. Riescono a essere credibili e appassionati nei rispettivi. Forse Ruffalo con la sua fisicità e sguardo malinconico riesce a dare maggiore peso e intensità alla storia. La Knightley si rivela una discreta cantante e con la sua voce monocorde comunque emoziona . La regia è di buona fattura . Esalta con merito e talento la cornice naturale di New York abbinandola alla scelta di buona musica, creando buone suggestioni al pubblico. Forse nella parte finale il ritmo cale e la storia diventa più compassata, ma restando comunque gradevole. Una storia d’amore musicale e sulle emozioni che si provano vivendola. La musica aiuta a cambiare e i protagonisti lo fanno anche in maniera sorprendente rispetto alle attese del pubblico. Non andate via ai titoli di coda, c’è un secondo finale che vi aspetta, se possibile, meno melò e più divertente, dove emerge forte il messaggio in cui godere della bellezza di ogni forma d’Arte è un diritto del pubblico piuttosto che un guadagno da ottenere da parte ad ogni costo dei produttori.

Adam Levine I do not have a musical ear, I confess. I’ve only been once in my life at a concert. I have no sense of rhythm and dance when I have the flexibility of a robot. I turn on the radio on the rare occasions I ch treadmill and the music of any kind accompanies my slow slog. The man makes sounds for a lifetime. Whistles, hums, roars. Our life without music is like a movie in black and white. The musical does not make me crazy, but often I end up singing with the protagonists. Music as writing can be cathartic and give you the opportunity to change and to be different. “Everything can change” is a ballad about life, love and how it is enough to have a plan to return to live and be happy maybe. Carney tells us how New York is the city of dreams, opportunities and also of solitude, but where two people disappointed and sad for different reasons you may encounter in a pub and find together in force to start over. This is the story of Dan (Ruffal) music producer in decline and with complicated family life and Greta (Knightley), a young English woman who has followed Dave (Levine) boyfriend musician in New York hoping to be realized in love and as a composer of music, but remains disappointed by both. Two apparent “losers” are joining forces with the common love for music. Dan is a brilliant and eccentric producer who decides to make the disk Greta on the streets of New York putting on a band sui generis. Greta is a musician and above all an idealist with a broken heart. A couple lies and force each other managing to pull out the best in everyone. Music and New York are the true protagonists of the story that invade the screen and involve the viewer. The story itself is simple, delicate though already seen in other contexts. The screenplay and dialogues enhance and delineate music as Muse of the protagonists and chanting the timing of the story with a good rhythm. Convinces the couple Ruffalo-Knightley. They manage to be credible and passionate in their respective. Maybe Ruffalo with his physicality and melancholy look manages to give greater weight and intensity to the story. Knightley proves to be a good singer and his monotone voice, however, excited. The director is of good quality. Enhances merit and talent with the natural setting of New York by combining it with the choice of good music, creating good suggestions to the public. Perhaps in the end the pace coves and the story becomes more staid, but prejudice still pleasant. A musical love story and the emotions that you feel living it. The music helps to change and the players do as well in a surprising manner with respect to the expectations of the public. Do not go off the end credits, there is a second end that awaits you, if possible, less melodrama and more fun, where strong message emerges in which to enjoy the beauty of any art form is a right of the public rather than a gain to be obtained by at any cost for the manufacturer.
